Duck feet are comprised of skin, bone, and cartilage. Often considered a by-product of the duck industry, they are actually consumed in many cultures.

Can my dog eat Duck Feet?

It’s rare that dog’s cannot consume duck feet. However, if your dog is a gulper, they must learn how to properly chew bone-in foods to avoid swallowing too quickly and regurgitating this food. Senior dogs with poor dental health may have trouble with these as well, but you can soften these chews by soaking in warm water before feeding.

How do I feed Duck Feet?

Introduce slowly. Feed 1 duck foot per day as a snack.

Because the feet are covered in skin, they can be really high in fat. So when feeding duck feet to your dog, make sure to keep an eye on his stool and make sure it isn’t loose.
