Features of the English Cottage Style House
Today’s English cottage house plans still retain many of their historic design features that we love while being updated for modern living. Some of the features that English cottage style homes have are front-facing gables, steeply pitched roofs, arched doors, and shutters.
On the interior of the home, you’ll find plenty of open spaces perfect for entertaining as well as cozy nooks for relaxing in privacy. Many English cottage style homes also feature large fireplaces—reflecting their historical past—as well as exposed beams that bring a bit of old-world charm into the interior.
But to meet the needs and wants of current-day homeowners, we will be including open floor plans, large gourmet kitchens, and plenty of storage.
