Movie mania continues in Marblehead and Swampscott, but not everyone is thrilled about it.
Adam Sandler and David Spade hit up the Swampscott commuter rail station to film a scene for “Grown Ups 2” yesterday, and while hundreds of fans hung behind barriers hoping to grab photos of the stars outside the fake “Stanton Station,” a few commuters were peeved that their train rides home were delayed.
“The fact that they are filming Grown Ups 2 at the train station in Swampscott has really messed up my commute home,” tweeted @priscilla171891.
“Did my train really get held up because Adam Sandler is shooting Grown Ups 2 at the Swampscott train station?” asked @TGlevine.
Another tweeter, @egan mike, lamented, “My train is delayed somewhere between Salem & Swampscott because they’re filming ‘Grown Ups 2.’ Thanks @DavidSpade. #hugs”
But not everyone is disgruntled about the Hollywood invasion. Twi-hards are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Taylor Lautner, who will land in the Hub soon to film his role in the flick. He’ll play a frat dude opposite former “Heroes” star Milo Ventimiglia. Milo, you may recall, was in the area last summer filming Sandler’s “That’s My Boy.”
“I’m in the family now,” Milo told MTV about the Happy Madison crew. “The first phone call I got from (Sandler) he said, ‘Hey, buddy, it’s going to be like summer camp.’ Summer camp? Summer camp is fun, so if it’s anything like that, it’s going to be great.”
Today the Marblehead Police Station is closed for an all-day shoot. Don’t tell the criminals …
