Broccoli Cheddar Quiche

I recently shared with you the Clean Savory Pie Crust recipe. You didn’t really think we would leave you with a recipe like that with nothing to put inside, did you?

Try this out! It’s a great addition to your morning breakfast and a way to break up the monotony of the scrambled egg white AND it’s gluten-free! Best of all, you can eat on it for a few days! (Just make sure you seal a container and refrigerate it.)

Can I Make a Quiche Without a Crust?

Yes! While I much prefer a crust on my quiche recipe, you can definitely make one without a crust. I know many individuals who turn a quiche into a frittata of sorts by leaving off the crust. While this recipe is healthy as it stands, skipping the crust makes it easier to fit into a variety of dietary needs and restrictions with zero worries about cross-contamination.

Can I Use Frozen Broccoli in this Quiche?

While I prefer using fresh vegetables as much as possible, it is okay to use frozen broccoli in this recipe. I just recommend thawing the broccoli and removing as much water as possible before mixing in with the eggs to go in the pie crust. This will make sure the eggs don’t get too soggy and they will set well when baked.

Can This Quiche Be Frozen?

One of my favorite ways to use up eggs when I find them on sale or can grab farm fresh is to make quiches because they freeze so well. If you plan to make larger batches of this quiche to freeze, you will want to go ahead and cook them completely. I also recommend using a disposable pie plate if you will be freezing these.

Simply follow the directions below and allow the quiche to cool completely. Once the quiche has cooled, use plastic wrap to cover and wrap around the quiche completely. Next, you will slip this into a large freezer plastic bag that has been dated and labeled so it is easy to identify in the freezer.

This will be good in the freezer for up to six months. To reheat, put in the refrigerator to thaw overnight, then pop into the oven at 350 for 10-15 minutes to heat through.
