Ranch Beer Cheese Dip - Big Bear's Wife (1)

I’m crazy about anything that is ranch flavored! Dinners, Snacks, Appetizers…. anything with the flavor of ranch is going to be a hit here!

Now don’t fret, this Ranch Beer Cheese Dip does NOT have a strong beer taste. The ranch and cheese are defiantly stronger. If you don’t want to add beer to this dip, that is fine too! It’ll still be delicious, but it’ll just have a tad bit thicker consistency. You could also use a non-alcoholic beer for this recipe.

If you’re not crazy about ranch, you may want to add a teaspoon at a time and taste the dip instead of just dumping the entire packet into the mixture.

Ingredients For Ranch Beer Cheese Dip:

  • cream cheese, soft
  • milk or sharp cheddar cheese
  • packet dry ranch dressing seasoning
  • beer

Does Beer Cheese Dip Have Alcohol?

Yes, it does. While other beer cheese dip recipes are cooked (which cooks out the alcohol), this recipe does NOT cook. This is a cold beer cheese dip recipe so there is going to be beer in the dip. While I’ll professionally say this recipe is for ages 21 and up, there isn’t enough beer in this recipe to get anyone drunk from eat dip. If you’re concerned about children eating this dip or want to keep this alcohol free, you can always leave the beer out.

What Kind Of Beer Should I Use For Beer Cheese Dip?

I used Modelo Especial Mexican Lager Beer, but I would think your favorite beer would work just fine. If I had to give suggestions, I should say a light beer would be best as a darker beer will change the color of the dip (unlike the lighter beers).

Instructions For How To Make Ranch Beer Cheese Dip:

  1. This dip couldn’t be easier to toss and stir together.

  2. In a large bowl, add the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese and the dry ranch dressing mix seasoning.

  3. Use an electric mixer and mix everything together until smooth and creamy. I like to use my stand mixer but any electric mixer will work. If you don’t have a mixer, you can mix by hand (although it may take some muscles) or you can through everything into a food processor and mix it.

  4. Slowly pour in the beer into the cream cheese mixture and mix until fully combined.

  5. Then just scoop it into a serving dish and serve with mini pretzels or chips.

  6. Garnish with some cheddar cheese, chives, parsley or dill for a little color.
