3.4 ⭐️ To be honest, I was never a fan of the plot with Shakur and Teyaira. We should have parted ways with her in book three; I find the whole thing pointless. This was a friend with benefits to lovers between Presley and Shakur. Although I believed their connection to be genuine between the two despite a baby being involved, Shakur allowed Teyaira a lot of leeway. It was meant to demonstrate Shakur's character, that he loves people based on his own opinions, yet he missed the warning signs so badly. In the shadows, Presley is dealing with a garbage mother and a horrible stepfather; all she ever wanted was to be a chef and take care of her son. Beyond delusional, Teyaira's insecuritiestook over and it got to a point it was draining. She fooled herself into thinking Shakur wouldn't ultimately catch on to her ruse since he was younger than her. From my perspective, it took too long before she was eventually put in the dirt. We did see Shakur's maturation and his handling of his newfound fatherhood while simultaneously caring for Presley's son. It was good to see that Presley and Shakur were so open with one another. More and more of the Compton men's personalities emerge as the story progresses. I'm ready for Bashar's book next since I know it'll be crazy.

R.I.T (Rest in Turmoil) 🪦 💐 to Ms. delulu herself🫠! What a ride Shakur, Teyaira and Presley took us on.

If you’ve been following the series then we already knew it would be a chance that we would have to endure Teyaira in all her toxic glory in this book and to say the bish was holding on for dear life goes without saying! Shakur’s age was definitely showing in this book and while I admire the whole “seeing the good in people” mindset, LaQuay needed to whoop his 🍑 one good time for violating the bro code! It should not have taken Teyaira’s crazy coat coming off for him to realize that he had no business even entertaining her from the beginning!

Aside from this glaring grievance, I enjoyed this story! I was curious to see how Shvonne would develop this story without me being completely disgusted by Shakur and Teyaira and she did a really good job! Despite knowing who Teyaira was at the core, I found myself wondering 🤔 can this really work between them and for a teeny tiny moment my stomach didn’t turn inside out at the idea of them 😂😂. The way their relationship was developed had me not completely side eyeing Shvonne for even giving us this storyline.

Presley had a reputation of being the industry heaux thanks to her stepfather and despite being the exact opposite, no one took her seriously from a relationship perspective. Settling on a fk buddy situationship, Shakur and Presley embraced their chemistry inside of the bedroom but that was as far as he was willing to take it….. or so he thought 😏

I’m trying to keep up with all of these Compton men and their babies because a few have definitely slipped through the cracks! I’m looking forward to Bashir and Cemone’s stories and can’t wait to see what Nixi’s crazy 🍑 got up her sleeve!

P.S. please leave Devonte, Kyle or whatever name he goes by these days out on the remaining storylines! Prime is the only daddy we acknowledge

While Shakur appeared mature for his age he was naïve. I still could not understand his relationship with Tey at all. He had to keep convincing himself he wanted her knowing she was still in love with his brother. The amount of flags he ignored about her 😒😒. Presley still dealing with the trauma from her youth is doing what she had to do to survive for her and her son. Virgil and Tey got exactly what they deserved but her momma should have too… fck her too. I can’t wait for Cemone book but I’m pissed cause I want Bashar book especially with that ending 😒😩.

The mess continues! 🤭

Whew, Shakur had me so concerned coming into this book! His being an empath and wanting to see the best in people almost got him caught up. At the end of book 3, we saw him and Teiyara may have been a thing, but as we enter book 4 here comes the beautiful Presley! Presley took Shakur by storm and because of the reputation she had he played his feelings to the left. Presley not speaking up and telling her truth was so understandable and if I were her I would have a friend with benefits too with someone like Shakur. Now you may wonder how Teiyara fits into this and let me say it’s like sticking a square block into a circular hole 🥴! A mess! So much unfolds once Shakur decides on who to be his girlfriend. A wild ride but let me say this Presley was not going! She was not playing number 2 to anyone no matter the situation and I loved that! Shakur had to choose and everyone had to deal with that decision, and some could handle it. In the end, we got the couple we deserved! No spoilers here! lol also so many Easter eggs with the other brothers! I know Bashar is the next book and the way this book ended I'm low-key surprised! I also have a theory Bashar will end up with Bambi and that his daughter isn't his 🤫. I'll be waiting to see what happens in the next book! Also if Cemone really has all these possible kids lol.

Initial thoughts: This series has been my introduction to this author and I’ll definitely read more. Maybe, I enjoy reading series about brothers because I’m invested at this point. Now… should Tey had made it past book 3? Absolutely not. Let us alone making me suffer through so many chapters with her in it lol. Nobody can tell me she didn’t have some sort of mental illness or something. How many times did she had to get bipped in the head figuratively and literally?

Anywho, I loved Presley. Very mature in my opinion. I really hated the people she was surrounded by and I will NEVER understand those types of parents/mothers. I related heavily. I thought it was going to be unbeatable dealing with Shakur and this insane devotion to Tey, but surprisingly it wasn’t too bad. I had read Lisara and Prime’s story a while ago, so the reminders about that story were helpful.

I’m excited to read Bashar’s story, because I’ve never understood the hold that girl has on him. I know there is a lot of backstory. Surprisingly, I’m really ready to read about Cemone as well. A bonafide fool, lol. Anyway, definitely a recommend from me

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I love this book too this is was so cute. I’m glad Tey ass gone I was tired of her fr. I loved the relationship with Presley and Shakur and how Shakur was ready to take the father role with Presley other son (idk how to spell his name) Shakur was a genuine person for giving Tey another chance and for caring about Presley even after knowing her image.

The only thing I don’t like about the books is the pregnancy and the kids. Like don’t get me wrong I love the kids it’s a beautiful thing but it seems every book so far somebody is pregnant or already has the kids. I’m not use to it most of the books I read is the kids come in the epilogue or if it’s single parents but regardless of that I still love these books.

I truly wished I looked before I started this series because now when the next book comes out I’m not even sure I’m gonna be interested in reading it. I really wanna know about Basher (however you spell his name) and his crazy toxic ass gf I wanna know if he leave her ass but idk if my feelings would be the same after it comes out.

Good asf!

Shvonne did it again! I had no idea how she was going to make me like Shakur after what he did in the last book, but she changed my mind. These Compton men are best and I just want to be invited to the cookout! Teriyaki was probably the most insane girlfriend I’ve ever read about lol. I’m ready for the next book to see what the other insane chick is up to.

This perfectly titled story gave what it was supposed to. Oops baby, Crazy Ex, Unalivings, Pettiness, and all the drama I could handle. One thing Shvonne does well is keep readers guessing on how things will come together in a book. In this one, i questioned Virgil and Teyaira’s character’s so much because they both did the unthinkable and wouldn’t own up to their shenanigans. I loved everything about Presley; I hated what her mother and “stepfather” did to her. I will say, I think behind Prime, Shakur is my favorite- idk, something about his character just worked well for me- even with his poor choice in women, lol!. That says a lot about Shvonne’s writing. 🥹I enjoyed this one and I already know the next book is going to have me on my toes.

My least favorite

The story this time was my least favorite. I wish folks would stop with the thirsty thot storyline. I did not like Teyaira, and the six million chances she was given to do the right thing. Shakur did not shake my fancy either. None of the folks in this three sided relationship clicked for me. Presley was nuts to take a double dipped back, when she chose Shakur. This one was meh for me. 3.0 stars.

I thought i was going to hate the the tyeira and shakur story but i can say i like the turn it took. I am not a fan of a jealous, insecure, crazy ass fmc they just turn me off so at some point im glad it lightened up. i love the brother dynamic as always and a little lisara and prime wisdom aint never hurt nobody. truly i couldnt pick between a 4 or 5 but the read is very deserving!

Yes, my boy Shakur found his love. Teyaira is in the right spot. I was sick of her. In the next book please find Beshar somebody else. I haven't liked Nix since the beginning.

Shakur Shakur Shakur

Your Ex Ain’t Me (Crenshaw Kings Book 4) by Shvonne Latrice is about Los Angeles Gremlins quarterback Shakur Compton. After reading my husband Lequay’s story, I could hardly wait to read Shakur’s (the anticipation was real). As soon as Shvonne said it was live, I immediately dove in. I needed to see what was going through Shakur’s mind, why in the world he would even look Teyaira’s way. I mean yes, she’s cute and ambitious career wise but she was his older brother’s friend with benefits that stayed trying to get chose! Shakur is way too handsome and successful to be anyone’s second choice! 🗣️🗣️ Shakur himself has a friend with benefits in the name of Presley Evans, too bad she’s been around the league 👀 so Shakur has written her off. Shakur I have a bone to pick with you; how you can write off a “jersey chaser” but not a brother f-er? 🧐 That’s crazy to me! I went into the book not liking Teyaira and that never changed. I thought she was a lot last go round but she took it up a notch with her shenanigans! That girl is absolutely bonkers and you can count on her to shenan again and again! Shakur is a cinnamon roll character, he really set himself up trying to save Teyaira. Presley is such a sweetheart, but damn she’s dealt a bad hand from the jump with a neglectful mom (who I don’t forgive, she can burn in hell tbh) and the stepfather from hell. However, it doesn’t stop her from being a great mom and amazing chef. Her pork chops had the fam in a chokehold 🤣 This book is love triangle adjacent. You’ll get 3 POV’s, which gives good insight on all the moving pieces. I only wish that once the choice was made I could have spent more time with the couple. It was awesome seeing the St. Thomas/Compton family again. I love that we get to know the brothers personalities more each book, they were cracking me up. This was another great addition to the series, I can’t wait for Bashar’s book!

P.s. I tried not to give anything away 🤐

Cw ~ mentions molestation, neglectful parent and murder

I binged this book !!!!

Listen !! I could not out this book down . I even would catch my self scrolling instagram and then opening the kindle app on my phone 😂😂 . This book is filled with drama, lies , secrets and the dialogue will have you laughing out loud .the Los Angeles scene just sucks you in . Everything I read a book in this series I just get transformed to this world .

So for starters for those who don’t like Teyairia this is not her book OK !! We get some onsite to how she really feels about shakur and lequay also see why both brothers even liked her . We got to see more of her actual character but she is not the main focus .

I like how we got to know more about shakur and his personality . He always seemed like the more empathetic brother and also the one that seemed to question more the relationship with his father Devante . It was nice to see the character development from a child to adult but still see some of the same characteristics .

Presley was a very focused and driven woman . To say she be unbothered is an understatement. I liked that she could care less what the next person thought about her .

This book has second chance love , damn near enemies to lovers , and that all I can say without spoking some things for you .

All in all Shvonne Latrice don’t miss !! That’s why she is one of my favorites . Always a good time .

Unputdownable…

When in the previous book in this series, heretofore sensible Shakur decided he was the only one who really understood “ain’t ish” Teiyara, I was skeptical about how common his sense was. It was obvious that Teiyara was an irredeemable villain and even if she was going to have a comeback/redemption story, it wasn’t going to be with a Compton. I almost didn’t check out this book, because I was so annoyed at the pairing. Fortunately, the actual heroine of this book is Presley, who after a traumatic incident resulting in a ruined reputation has been trying to make the best of her life as a single mother. Things take a turn when she begins to have feelings for Shakur after a brief friends with benefit relationship.

I enjoyed the plot overall. I would say this is my favourite of the series so far. Yes the villains were unhinged (and I would categorize Presley’s mother as one) and almost caricatures and a lot of the plot was a bit over the top, but the author knows how to tell a captivating story. The plot was great (if a little unrealistic at times), the writing evocative and the enjoyment I got from reading it yelling at the characters and talking about it is unmatched. I can’t wait for coconuthead Bashar’s story!

Always On Point

One thing about Latrice is that she's going to pull you in so deep into a story that you are licking the bones to get more flavor.

Will you be rooting for the FMC, Prestley? Yes. From page 1 you are entangled in her situation and Latrice does a good job of having you think about the real life comparisons (Megan Good, Lori Harvey) all the while shinging a light on serious trigger. Heed the TW about rape and SA

Is the MMC book bae worthy? Yes. Shakur tries to be an upstanding dude and do the right thing. Even though the characters all fall over backward to explain his weird allegiance to She Who Shall Not Be Named, he definitely had a "stand in your square" vibe

Is the smex and romance top tier banging? Why yes, yes it is. The scenes are hot. Smex was always 🔥 and described like you are there feeling the character emotions. We understood where a character was going romantically before they did.

Will Latrice put her foot up in the story? Yes. The cool thing about Latrice's writing is that it's engaging, it's smoothly done, it's traumatic and somewhat outlandish situations bit it flows and does not feel like hood drama or even melodramatic telenova style childishness. No, her writing feels grown. The constant twists and turns are handled like a smooth G Wagon takes a sharp 30° turn. The characters feel well thought out, but I'm not reading lyrical prose and boring story. Nope, here the characters feel so real and touchable.

Shakur + Presley + Teyaira

I actually liked this story more than i thought I would. However, I wished Teyaira was left in Book 3. She wasn't just delusional, she was dumb. Too dumb, almost unrealistic (but this makes good fiction) . She definitely got it from her mama. I'm trying to figure out how Shvonne Latrice can write these women so delusional! That's scary.

I hope I see Scotland in every story because I really like her. She's my favorite wife, with Presley a close 2nd. Also, why do all of the women come from weird mamas?

Now Shakur... he's not a killer. It just doesn't seem realistic. The whole time, he's talking about Teyaira not getting over on him, but that was literally what she did for an entire year. He isn't that mature.

Overall, this was a really good read. Presley was giving Lori Harvey vibes! What am I going to do until Bashar's story cause I feel like Nixi is going to take us on a ride. I feel like more of Bambi is coming, too...

The Chill Ones…

Never take the quiet, meek ones for granted. After the ending of Lequay’s book, I didn’t know if I wanted to read Shakur’s story…so glad I did. Initially I was looking at him sideways, but he finally came to his senses..can’t wait for Bashar’s story.

Good Read

This author has become a favorite of mine, and I love how she effortlessly tackles harsh topics without making her work depressing. Lol, after all, I read to escape the foolishness of what's going around us.

First of all, I loved that this book touched on such a prevalent thing that kills the youth of our community. Presley’s mom needs her behind stumped! Let me explicitly state that there is NO excuse for disregarding anyone being taken advantage of sexually, but most of all, one's own child. I say that to say Jamie’s reasoning for her betraying her daughter was the most selfish and ridiculous thing ever. This woman’s avoidance of loneliness was worth her baby girl's innocence, respect, and trust- not homelessness or starvation, but for the love of a predator that she never even acquired because he was obsessed with little girls.

On top of that, when finally confronted, she tells Presley that she has decided to leave him because of proof that he impregnated another young girl, forcing her to get an abortion. To Jamie, it was okay when it was her own daughter, Presley, because she figured it was a “one-time thing,” but she drew a line THIS TIME when she realized her middle-aged butt wasn't his preference at all. There would be no reconciliation with this lady if I were Presley, and she's better than me because she wouldn't have any access to my babies- grandmother or not.

Secondly, this may be an unpopular opinion. Still, Shakur deserved the hell Teyaira put him through after he broke up with her because despite him claiming that he didn't know she was “that crazy,” her actions with his own brother, Lequay, proved otherwise. Even though Shakur “thought” that Teyaira was simply misguided and believed she honestly thought she was acting in Lequay’s “best interest,” I feel like that was a cop-out and a dream he sold himself to make himself feel better for dealing with her. Everyone he explicitly respects and trusts- from Prime, his mother, ALL his brothers, but especially the one he admires, Lequay- said that girl was no good. Yet, he assumed all these people were suddenly wrong in their assessment, and he was exempt from Teyaira’s bullsh*t. I loved Presley and Shakur together, but I rubbed my feet together in glee every time that crazy girl put him through it with her antics, lol.

Lastly, Scotland reminds me of myself when I was younger, a straight menace! Lol. She provided so much comic relief while such heavy topics were discussed. Her and Lequay’s book is STILL my favorite of the series.

5/5

Shakur played football so I’m gonna count this as a sports romance 😂

Wow. Presley’s mother really shocked me. I don’t understand how a mother could ever choose a man over her own child. This man assaulted her child, got her pregnant, and pimped her out to the highest bidder, and all she did was gaslight tf out of her when she knew the truth all along. I really don’t care about them reconciling and Presley was better than me because I would never have been able to forgive my mother for no sh*t like that let alone allow her to be around my own children.

I didn’t know how I felt about Shakur at first. I was already iffy about him when he started messing around with Teyaira in the last book; not only was she his brother’s e but she was the ex that caused havoc in the family when he tried to move on from her. And the fact that Shakur thought she wasn’t capable of doing grimy sh*t when the family literally doesn’t fw her because she did some grimy sh*t was wild. I understood his logic behind it but it just wasn’t enough.

Teyaira was STILL obsessed with Lequay even though she was in a WHOLE ASS RELATIONSHIP with his BROTHER. She acted like she didn’t wanna go around the family because they didn’t like her, which may have been partially true, but the real reason her ass didn’t wanna go is because she didn’t want to see Lequay and Scotland together. Smh being bitter about a nigg* whose brother you’re dating is CRAZY. She wanted to call Presley a hoe, but she was the real hoe. She was dating Shakur, and trying to keep Presley out of his life, while secretly still being in love with Lequay and stalking Scotland on social media. Faking a pregnancy to get Shakur back but also popping up at Scotland’s shop multiple times. Not to mention she didn’t even come see Shakur nor did she reach out to him when he had surgery AND she had cheated on him just to get a shoe line that never even came out. I really hated this bitch. Delusional wasn’t even the word for her.

Devante was still trapped in the closet, still worried about what others would think of him, and still a dead beat dad to the Compton boys. He, however, had no problem being present in the lives of his “new children” as he put it.

As for Virgil, he was a sick batard that was obsessed with power, money, and teenaged girls. He finally got everything that was coming to him.

Proceed with caution ⚠️ but please proceed 😉

Mehn! This book for me was like trigger trigger trigger!

Did you think Shakur was wrong for even entertaining Teyaira. I, however, get his reasons. He only saw Lequay dissing her. Thought she was this beautiful girl who loved hard but gave it to the wrong nigg*. So, he tried to save her. She wasn't ready for what he was offering, and frankly, he wasn't either.

Hilarious she fumbled not one Compton, let alone two.

Presley's story hit home because this happens was more often than people think. Virgil had Jamie, Presley’s mother pegged from day one. She was lonely, needy, and thirst enough to allow him to abuse her daughter and justified it in her mind, figuring them "getting along" in the end justified it all. Her character pissed me off and does even as i write this review. She should’ve faced more consequences but funny thing about kids are they will always love and try to see the good in their parent.

Lisara and Prime’s situation was closer to Presley’s. While I couldn't understand why she stayed under Virgils thumb, she did what she had to to provide for her fam.... I guess. At least Lisara got it out the mud and refused to be a beard to her ex (what a worthless POS) just to provide for her family. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Had it not been for the baby Shakur would have missed out on a good thing because his pride wouldn't allow him to date Presley openly. His decision made no sense! 🤦🏾‍♀️

Genre: Urban Romance
Spice Level: 🌶🌶

I said what I said and as always: don't take my word for it. Read the book, form your own opinions, and support your authors!

Brashard and Nix don't really interest me 🤷🏾‍♀️ but lest see how this goes. Sounds like we will be dealing with mental illness next but this writer is good at switching up the narrative.

Look fwd 2 book 5.

I’m ngl Shakur definietly pissed me off majority of this book. I get he a emphat and wanna see the good in everyone but things was just to obvious to be overlooked. He should have never pursued Teyaira. Smashing her cool but a relationship was to far in my opinion. Teyaira just didn’t have it all the way there. I feel like she never really cared for Shakur. She liked him just off what he can do for her & the attention she recieved from him. She took his kindness for weakness because of his age. Manipulation at it’s best. Even tho I didn’t like her I kinda felt a lil bad for her. Kinda feel like she had daddy issues that she really haven’t dealt with. Presley was my girl. I hate what she went through as a teenager but I feel like it made her stronger and she became her best self. I also feel like she should’ve made Shakur work alil harder too. Her mother I couldn’t stand. I wanna give her a good NY a$$ whooping timbs included. I’m sorry I would not have continued to be in her life or have my kids around her either. I understand forgiving people and not holding grudges but that right there I couldn’t get with. It was too late when she wanted to acknowledge things only when someone else came forward. Sad excuse of a mother 🤷🏾‍♀️. Shakur redeemed himself. I love how he matured and stepped up. It just took him too damn long. He had to sit down for a few in order to see $h!t for what it really was. Overall Shvonne delivered as always. The way she maneuvered this story 👩🏿‍🍳💋. I can’t wait for Bashar story cause I know it’s gonna be crazy. I know Nixi gonna run me crazy. Good read 👏🏾.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The stakes for this story were so high for me. It’s probably the most anticipated (for me) of this series so far. And prior to that it was Lequay’s story, which completely lived up to the hype. But sometimes that hard to pull off twice.

Most of us readers of this series had very strong feelings about Teyiara. Even remembering, before it was mentioned in this story, Lisara and Prime’s slight love triangle involving a family member. I knew there was no way Tey could be spruced up enough to sell to us. None of us was buying Ms. Ma’am. It was a no before it began.

But homegirl took it even further. Several times I found myself feeling sorry her- it was like “if playing yourself was a person.”

Presley was my fave from the very beginning. I wish some of the transitions in her story were a bit smoother. Some aspects of the story felt like the author was making sure she covered all “bullet points”. But overall this story was one I anticipated, began late, read until I couldn’t stay up longer. Woke up early and read until I was done. Now I’m off to enjoy this beautiful Saturday.

Can’t wait for the next story. This series is 🔥. She hasn’t missed yet. It’s amazing. With as insane as Bashar’s situation is, I’m hoping for another strong confident FMC. That has been the thing I’ve loved about most of the women. I still give Coutoure a side eye.

Oh, and the building of interest in the personalities of the other brothers is genius. I’m already enjoying glimpses of Cemone. I’m definitely re-reading this.

Your Ex Ain’t Me

I like Shakur but in my opinion Teyaira should have never been an option. I’m glad they didn’t work out because they should have never been together in the first place. No matter how good of a guy Shakur is and how well he treated Teyaira, she still would have wanted his brother. I was confused on how Shakur thought about Presley reputation but like Lisara said you can’t take a woman with Presley reputation seriously but you can a woman that has been with his brother, make it make sense. I understand why Presley went on about her business but I do feel like she should have tried to contact him one more time but in the end it all worked out for them and he made it up to her. Teyaira mother gave her the wrong advice smh. Virgil got what he deserved in the end and if I was Presley I would have been done with her mother! I’m looking forward to Bashar and Nixi story she is truly crazy but maybe there’s more to that story… Shavonne I absolutely love your books and it’s always hard for me to put them down once I get started! I definitely would recommend this book it’s a really good story.

Worth the Wait ❤️

Every book in this series has been a bomb 10/10. How do they keep getting better and better!!?! Lequay had me in a chokehold, okay. Now enter lil bro Shakur and here I am in another chokehold 😩 It’s truly something about these Compton/St.Thomas men.

I was so mad that Shakur would even entertain Tey like actually make her his woman. However I loved the type of man he was to her. He was honest, affectionate and respectful. She didn’t appreciate him at all and didn’t deserve him. I hate how her story ended but she was doing entirely too much.

I absolutely loved Presley and Shakur together. Their relationship was fresh sexy and beautiful. I loved the way Shakur stepped up for not only his son but hers as well. He was just an all around beautiful human.

Virgil was disgusting 🤮
Presley’s mom was beyond pathetic and would’ve been cut out of my life.

I hope I didn’t give away too much. Y’all gotta read it for yourself. I would definitely start at book one if you haven’t. I promise you will not be disappointed.

ughhh just read it.

Ok first of all. I’m mad at myself because I read it so quickly 😭 I didn’t put it down I am sure I read it in less than 24 hours. I almost wish it was longer and it was a good length but I loved the story. Pres & Shakur were the cutest. Shakur definitely proved he was a Compton despite being in the NFL and that was for sure. Shvonne has easily became one of my favorite authors. I went back and read almost her entire catalog at the top of the year and what I will say is that I can truly see her growth. These characters are awesome, tight knit family and just scream black excellence and BDE energy. Comparing it to her other leading men the Compton boys are extremely different, respectful yet gangsters and it’s heart warming to read. Anyway I love the work girl don’t take to long for Bashar story because for the love of God, no one understands what he sees in that crazy girl!

I am crazy about the Comptons! First and foremost, giving honor to the patriarch of the family, Prime St. Thomas! 🔥🔥🔥 That being said, each book only gets better and better! Shakur Compton overcame his childhood illness to become a professional football phenom. He was a good man. He was so good, that he was willing to overlook all of the dirty lowdown schemes that Tyaira had pulled, willing to give her the benefit of the doubt because he tried to see the good in everyone. To top it off, she had been his older brother's jump off for over ten years! Surely, he would be able to see right through her, especially since most of his family repeatedly warned him of her ill intent. Surely, he would not pass over a good woman, though Presley's reputation was somewhat tarnished due to the nature of her job, to someone who still seemed interested a little too much in what was happening in his brother Lequay's life...

🤩

Omg I couldn’t wait for this to be released and boy did she take us on a ride here. Shakur was a stand up guy, he stood on business, didn’t bother anyone and was respectful. Teyaira was delusional asf and her mammy ain’t make it any better. Presley oh my sweet Presley I if stuck between a hard place was a person it would definitely be Presley. I enjoyed her a lot in this book because even though she was dealt an awful hand she made the best out of her situation with grace. She deserves all that life has to offer!! Virgil and Jamie ughh they made me so d@mn sick for real. Virgil deserves to hottest parts of hell and I don’t think thats the right place for him. Jamie who is Presley mom if I’m desperate for a man was a person it would be her. I wanted to fight her so bad because like wtf! Shvonne Latrice never seems to amaze me. That girl has talent! Great read!

SMH regarding Shakur because he went against his family for a truly delusional delusional delusional and “entitled” Teyaira. She sure didn’t change and continued with her BS! Shakur still young and he’s empathetic and wants to see good in everybody! Let me say this Shakur took too long to make up his mind about Tey because all the signs were there, and should have left her behind in the recycle bin ROTFL 🤣 😂!!!!!! Tey was touched LMAO 🤣.

What Presley went thru was just heartbreaking and she felt there was no way out! I felt disappointed with her mom. I would not utter that trifling man’s name.

There’s a lot a lot I want to mention but I will leave it here and drop the mic 🎤 because baaaaby woosa!

Got to give an honorary mention to Prime and Lisara who always dropping gems on their kids and exes! They the real MVPs!
