The Global Conflict Tracker is an interactive guide to ongoing conflicts around the world of concern to the United States with background information and resources. This project is supported by the Carnegie Corporation of New York.

The Global Conflict Tracker is an interactive guide containing data, resources, and information about ongoing conflicts around the world.

Asia is the theatre of 19 non-international armed conflicts (NIACs) involving 19 armed groups. These are happening in Afghanistan, India, Myanmar, Pakistan and The Philippines. Two international armed conflicts – between respectively India and Pakistan, and between India and China – are also taking place in the region.

The Global Conflict Risk Index (GCRI) expresses the statistical risk of violent conflict in a given country in the coming 1-4 years and is exclusively based on quantitative indicators from open sources.

ACLED data are collected and coded by a team of experienced researchers with specific language skills and country knowledge. Review processes oversee the collected data to ensure intra-coder reliability (i.e. that the researcher has coded everything in their country consistently).
